What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for Salvation and Christian Living
(2 Timothy 3:15-17)
We believe that there is only one God, (Deuteronomy 4:6, John 14:9, Ephesians 4:4-6) who is the creator of heaven and earth, and all living beings, He revealed himself to humanity as the Father, as the Son (Savior), and the Holy Ghost, the indwelling of the Spirit of God
We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ who died for our sins, was buried, and rose again,
(1 Corinthians 15:1-4
We believe in the New-Birth experience of repentance of one’s sins, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues:
(Acts 2:1-4, 2:37-39, 10:44-48, 19:6, Mark 16:16, This is the New Testament pattern for all believers to follow as a result of their faith in Jesus Christ
We Believe in the Great Commission and will endeavor to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion, (Matthew 28:19-20)
We believe as true followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to live a holy and pure live before God and humanity, (2 Corinthians 6:14 & 7:1) we believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit, (1 Corinthians 12:1-11)
We believe in the Rapture of the church, (The second coming of Jesus Christ) 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
Our Pastor:
Pastor Dwayne Britt, an ordained minister of the United Pentecostal Church International, was born and raised in San Diego, CA; he graduated from high school and attended Grossmont College. Pastor Britt was converted, baptized in the name of Jesus and received the Holy Ghost in 1982 under the late Pastor David F. Gray.
He went on to attend Christian Service Training Institute Bible College (C.S.T.I.) and graduated second in his class with honors as salutatorian in 1986.
After serving as an associate pastor under Bishop James N. Larson of The Anchor (formerly Revival Tabernacle), Pastor Britt founded New Life Tabernacle in January, 2000. His vision from God is to establish a multicultural church with the purpose to seek to teach all ages the word of God, persuade them to pray and to equip them to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Britt married his beautiful wife Melvina Britt in October, 1989 and from this union was born 3 children, Demetrius, Monique and Tyara.
